Dome Types: Seaming Options
The projection surface of a dome screen requires a highly precise “paneling” process. A uniform optical surface is essential to create realistic immersive projection. Spitz’ screen surface is made up of precisely curved, perforated aluminum panels, attached to a structural frame. We offer three paneling methods to accommodate different budgets and display requirements:
Standard Lap Seam
Seams are overlapped in both directions – Spitz’s most affordable seam technology.
Premium Seam
Virtually seamless, with lap seams in the vertical direction, and flush horizontal seams.
NanoSeam™
Spitz’s superior seam technology is completely seamless under projection conditions, with no overlapping seams or exposed rivets.
